OWA Rules
Ignorance of the rules does not exempt you from complying with them.
DISCLAIMER
This league is made mainly for Spanish players, we allow the entrance to any player/team from LATAM without any problem, but you will have to accept that the matches are played in EUROPEAN servers and timetable, ONLY in the case that two LATAM teams play against each other the server can be changed.
The admin decides over the rules for the proper functioning of the tournament.
INSCRIPTIONS
You can register your team on the BattleFy page: [BATTLEFY LINK]
Once the form is filled in, if everything is correct, the tournament organizer will send the team captain a link to join BattleFy, as well as granting roles to all team members. Registration will open on November 1st and close on December 31st at 23:59 CET.
The maximum number of teams shall be 16, after which no more teams may register, regardless of the date.
If you sign up, you assume that you can receive payment for the tournament via Bizum, you agree that your match can be streamed on Twitch and that you or any of your teammates can create and manage a custom game.
ELIGIBILITY
For a team to be eligible to participate in the league, it must comply with the following rules:
- All team captains must have registered their team on the BattleFy website.
- All players must be inside the server [DISCORD].
- At least 3 starting players must be Hispanic, in case of doubt the tournament administrator may ask the player to provide his Identity Card or Passport to verify his nationality, only any of these two documents will be considered valid, in case of not being able to provide any of these two documents the player will be considered “foreign”, players coming from Portugal will not be considered Foreign players.
- A team may not have more than 10 players.
- The team name may not be inappropriate in any way.
- The team logo may not be inappropriate in any way.
- Player account names may not be inappropriate in any way.
TEAMS
There will be 16 teams in total participating in the league and each team will have a maximum of 10 players and a minimum of 5 players.
The last day to make a change in the team roster will be April 2nd at 23:59 CET, always without exceeding the limit of 10 players in the team, and no changes can be made in the team roster the same day in which the same team is going to play a match. Each team can have up to 2 foreign players, and any player who is not Spanish/Portuguese will be considered a foreign player.
PAYMENT AND REWARDS
Payments made for the tournament will be made via Bizum, and will be delivered to the designated team captain.
The total amount collected for prizes will be +1600€ and will be distributed as follows:
- 1st place: 800€
- 2nd place: 475€
- 3rd place: 225€
- 4th place: 100€
FORMATT
OWA | Regular season
The 16 teams that will participate in the league will play once against the rest of the participants in a Bo5.
The first map will be chosen by default and will be a control map.
The loser of a map may choose the next mode and map (as long as that mode has not yet been played).
The winner may choose the side (attack or defense).
In case of a tie, any map in the Map Pool will be played randomly (as long as that mode has not been played yet) and the sides will be reversed.
The regular season will begin on January 10, with 3 games on Fridays & Saturdays and 2 games on Sundays.
The last games of the regular phase will begin on the weekend of April 25.
When all teams have played 15 games, the top 8 teams will qualify for the playoffs.
OWA | PlayOffs
The tiebreaker will operate in the following order:
1- Number of wins
2- Map difference
3- Head to head winrate
4- Head to head winrate against already qualified teams
5- Play-off match
The playoffs will take place on May 2, 3 and 4 and will consist of a Double Elimination bracket where all matches will be Bo5 while the Finals will be Bo7.
The first map will be chosen by default and will be a control map.

The distribution of the Playoffs bracket will be as follows:
- #1 vs #8
- #4 vs #5
- #2 vs #7
- #3 vs #6
There will be a 15-minute break between the end of the Lower Bracket Finals and the Grand Finals to avoid excessive wear and tear on the players.
The map pool will be announced closer to the league start date.
RESCHEDULE
During the weekend of the Swiss phase of the OWCS, the matches will undergo a forced reschedule and will be played during the week, due to the fact that they will be played during the week, it is possible that during that week not all matches can be broadcasted.
Apart from that, matches may be rescheduled but under certain conditions.:
- Both teams have to accept the reschedule of the match.
- Requesting teams must provide a compelling reason for changing the date of the match, as for the change to be officially made, it must be approved by a moderator.
BREAKS
Each team is entitled to a 15 minute break for each match, in the event that a team has exhausted the 15 minutes, the opposing team may choose whether to continue the map or wait longer.
If the opposing team decides to continue the map, the team that ran out of pause time may choose to surrender and give the map to the opposing team.
PUNTUALITY
Each team has the obligation to arrive on time to the matches, there will be a 15 minute time limit to show up, if they have not shown up after those 15 minutes, they will forfeit the match and the other team will advance to the next round.
STREAMING
All the games of the regular phase will be broadcast by the organization, on the contrary, not all the playoff games will be broadcasted.
Matches will be broadcast with a 3-minute delay to avoid “streamsniping” and players will be able to stream from their point of view without the need to include any delay or delay in the transmission.
SCHEDULE
All games will be played on weekends, with three (3) games on Fridays and Saturdays and two (2) games on Sundays.
All matches of the regular phase will be rebroadcast, following the following operation:
- 1st match of the day: 16:00 CET
- 2nd game of the day: 18:30 CET (Estimated time)
- 3rd match of the day: 20:00 CET (Estimated time)
Matches will be played consecutively, meaning that even if one match finishes early, the next match will be played immediately after, players are expected to be aware of this fact and be prepared for when their match is due to start.
FIRST MAP
The first maps for the matches will be published closer to the start date of the league.
Violation of any of these rules will result in a penalty ranging from a warning to the player or team, ending in the expulsion of the player or team.
